I remember when your mother had to evacuate her home once, also because of a nearby fire. They only had a few minutes to throw their stuff together and drive away. She said later, "I had so many things I would have wanted to take with me; things that were irreplaceable. And what did I grab? My toothbrush!" Moments like that are telling. We never know how we'll react in times of crisis.
